HERE COMES THE BABY AMG!!!
![]() |
| Mercedes-Benz A-45 AMG set to be unveiled at Geneva. |
Mercedes-Benz A.G, which has seen a drastic and equally surprising sales slump over the past few months, is all set to rejuvenate and rectify the aforementioned sales slump by bringing in the eagerly awaited A class A45 AMG at the upcoming Geneva motor show.
Sounds enticing, isnt it???
It certainly is!!!...
But dont even be fooled by the small 2.0 liter Turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol powerplant under the hood because it has AMG, the high-performance division under Mercedes-Benz A.G, written on it.
The latest and, definitely the smallest AMG power-plant develops an unbelievable 360hp@6000 rpm and a wrist wrenching 450Nm of torque produced between 2250rpm and 5000 rpm.
The ubiquitous AMG Speed-shift transmission will send power to all four corners of the A45.
For the performance fanatics, the baby AMG will come with 3 driving modes plus double de-clutching, launch control and 3-stage ESP.
The A45 AMG rides on 18” twin spoke lightweight alloy wheels, fitted with 235/40 R18 tyres.
The vehicle will come with enhanced fuel economy pegged at 6.9 liters/100 kms in NEDC combined mode.
In Mercedes-Benz parlance, the baby AMG has been designed with young age-group in mind, the ones who will love its high tech package and performance oriented set up.
Stay tuned for more updates.
